Common Window Problems We Fix

Windows get damaged in many ways, and we have seen most of them. Typical jobs include:

  • Cracked or chipped panes
  • Smashed glass from accidents or break-ins
  • Worn or damaged window glass that needs replacing
  • Older windows that no longer suit your property

If you are not sure what is wrong, describe it when you call. We will help you work out the best next step.

Repair or Replace? We Will Help You Decide

Not every damaged window needs a full replacement. Sometimes a repair is the sensible, affordable choice. Other times, replacing the glass is safer and better value in the long run. We look at the damage, explain what we find in plain language, and let you choose with all the facts in front of you.

When a Repair Makes Sense

A repair often works when the damage is limited and the rest of the window is in good shape. It saves you money and gets you back to normal quickly.

When Replacement Is the Better Choice

Replacement is usually the right call when the glass is badly cracked, the damage keeps spreading, or the window is simply past its best. A new window can freshen up your whole property.

  • Can a Cracked Window Be Repaired?

Sometimes it can. It depends on the size of the crack, where it sits, and the condition of the rest of the window. We inspect it and give you honest advice.

  • Is a Cracked Window Dangerous?

It can be. Cracked glass may weaken further and break, so it is best to have it checked sooner rather than later.
